At Disneyland Paris, even the showers are getting smarter. Hotel guests love long, steamy showers, but they come at an environmental and financial cost. To cut waste without ruining the experience, Disney installed Hydrao smart showerheads in one of its hotels. These LED-lit devices shift colour as water use increases: blue → green → purple → red. No stats, no guilt trip. A playful nudge that turns consumption into a real-time signal. The result? Less water used, happier pipes, and a lighter footprint.

Outcome:

Guests saw colour feedback in real time as water volume passed 10, 20, and 30L.

Litre counts were translated into colour bands, no abstract numbers needed.

The shift to red triggers a subtle “oh no” moment, without saying a word.

Bright LEDs grabbed attention, even with the shower mist.
